Tracking My Bi-Cycle was inspired by my trip to the OCAD U Zine Library and my appreciation for zines and how they convey personal experiences. This pamphlet relates to the theme of “Limits in the Archive'' in that more of these personal experiences can and should be saved. Initially, I focused on looking for any bi content within the library, but couldn’t find any zines dedicated to bi representation. So, in this case, I would like to add more textual bisexual representation to this archive with this pamphlet.

Furthermore, my pamphlet covers two topics: my personal feelings on the bi-cycle and menstruation tracking apps. The reason I chose to incorporate menstruation tracking into this project was that I don’t find much menstruation representation in the media. In my opinion, until period products are free, then we have not talked about menstruation enough.

Ultimately, other than fulfilling a limit of the archive, I wanted to demonstrate a creative way to track any feelings I have because of the bi-cycle in a similar fashion to a menstruation tracking app. This is because I believe that tracking these feelings is important in finding a pattern and acknowledging its existence. Talking about these feelings helps contextualize how I feel about my bisexuality in a way that’s more insightful than just using phrases like “You’re valid! You’re fine!”. I hope that this work reflects these values.
